How long will my synthetic grass last?
Although our range of synthetic grasses come with 8+ year warranties, you should expect your new artificial lawn to last for over 20 years
Does your synthetic grass get hot?
Made for the Australian sun, Total Grass Concepts synthetic grass utilises Heatblock Technology to reflect sunlight resulting in reduced heat build-up. This makes our grass up to 20% cooler than similar synthetic grass products (Infill also reduces heat unlike other providers)
Is it pet friendly?
From experience pets generally love the feel of synthetic grass. Due to the superior quality of our grass it virtually prevents pets from digging holes or ruining the grass. Pet urine will drain through the surface as per real grass and faeces can simply be scooped up as the grass naturally doesn’t absorb. Rarely it may result in an odour that can be easily fixed with or a 50/50 mix of warm water and vinegar or warm soapy water
Will the grass fade?
No. We supply and install premium synthetic grass that is manufactured and designed to suit the tough Australian climate. Our grass is UV stabilised so that it will look great for many years to come
Will synthetic grass stop weeds?
Before installing your new synthetic grass we ensure to kill off all existing weeds. Although new weeds are unlikely to grow through the synthetic grass, it does come with necessary drainage holes which can sometimes provide an opening for weeds. If any do appear we recommend that you use a weed killer
Where is your grass from?
Our grass is made right here in Victoria ensuring it is made for Australian climate conditions. Our grass is manufactured with ISO quality assurance, proven by continuous testing going back over 25 years and backed by extensive warranties
Is synthetic grass safe for my kids?
Absolutely. Our synthetic grass is soft and durable, presents less potential hazards than real grass and is a less suitable environment for dangerous bugs and insects. We regularly install synthetic grass to kindergartens and schools that are looking for a safer alternative for kids to play on
Does water drain through synthetic grass?
Yes. Total Grass Concepts installs grass with superior drainage holes to ensure it drains as if it was real grass. Total Grass Concepts also ensures to install synthetic grass in line with your properties existing drainage flow
Is there any maintenance required for synthetic grass?
Minimal. If you have surrounding trees that drop their leaves you can simply use a plastic rake to remove them which will also stimulate the grass fibres (or can use a blower)
Is synthetic grass flammable?
Unlike other available products, Total Grass Concepts synthetic grass is virtually flame proof. The kiln dried sand infill assists to minimise any fire spreading
Can synthetic grass be installed on top of tiles or concrete?
Absolutely. In fact installation on such surfaces will be quicker as they are already levelled and stable
I’m located outside of your area, would it still be possible for you to install my synthetic grass?
Although we focus on the Mornington Peninsula through to the city we are constantly expanding and growing in new areas. If you are outside of these areas please get in touch and we’ll do our best to accommodate you
Can I install the synthetic grass myself?
The installation process has been refined by Total Grass Concepts for over 20 years and we recommend installation by a trained authorised installer to ensure a high quality finish. If you are competent in landscape work we can supply the grass to you for you to install
